2013 End of Year Awards
-
"Still Swinging" by Papa Roach plays. We are LIVE at the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as Xtreme Wrestling Federation's 2013 End of Year Awards is on the air! Tonight we take a look back at the events that made 2013 one of the most memorable years in the history of the company. The camera cuts to a shot of the audience on hand as Mitch Keller is standing by at a podium.
Keller: Ladies and gentleman thank you for joining us tonight for the 2013 End of Year Awards!
The audience pops on that announcement.
Keller: Tonight we take a look back at what was an extremely memorable year for the Xtreme Wrestling Federation. As everyone knows by our tag line we've been your EFED Wrestling Fix since 1998. We've gone through many phases and transitions. This wasn't a transition year for us. XtremeMania 8 this year was one of our top Pay Per Views ever thanks to everyone who has contributed from the wrestlers down to the management.
The audience pops once again.
Keller: So with all that said lets get down to business. This year's show has seven awards to hand out. The first one to be announced is the "Tag Team of the Year".
Keller pulls out an envelope from his pocket.

- Tag Team of the Year -
Keller: And now for the nominations..
The screen cuts to a video graphic displaying "Nominations for Tag Team of the Year".
Keller: Shangri-La Jester and Blaze Rodriguez, "The Jager Bombers"!
The screen cuts over to highlights of Jester and Blaze.
Jester: You boys can either A) Come to the show and lose very badly to us. Or B) You can vacate the titles and just hand them over to us as the rightful champions. You see. We are very much on the same page. We are the strongest team out there and there is no one that stands a chance. No one that can stand between us and our rightful place as the XWF Tag Team Champions. You poor bastards will be nothing more then casualties on our road to success.
Blaze: Well you don't have to worry about that because they won't be champs for long. We formed this team for one reason only. To get some gold around our waist. And on valentine's day at Jaded we will do just that.
Flashback to "Jaded". Blaze goes up top and hits the 450 Splash on The Hellion to a huge pop. Rodriguez gets a cover as the crowd chants along for the one, two, three!
Chico: We've got ourselves new Tag Team Champions!
Worley: The winners of this match and NEW Tag Team Champions, Blaze Rodriguez and Shangri-La Jester, the Jager Bombers!
The camera cuts to a live shot of Jester and Blaze watching on with smiles on their faces.
Keller: Next up is The Dark Stranger and Marcus Andrews, "The Hounds of Hell"!
The screen cuts to highlights of Stranger and Andrews.
Stranger: Now I'm telling three other teams.. Don't show up unless you will each get DARKNESS FALLS and THE DARKNESS put in you and all the evil you know will be gone!
Andrews: We are the chosen ones here in XWF. Fans around the world know it and the rest of you men should know it. And soon you will know. The Hounds Of Hell will raise above hate and rise up from the depths of hell and reign supreme from the rest of you.
Flashback to Showdown 42's Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. Stranger hits a double clothesline on the Legion. Andrews drops Swag with a chairshot. Another clip plays showing Stranger climbing up the ladder. Stranger grabs the contract as the crowd pops.
Chico: The Hounds of Hell have done yet!
The Hounds of Hell celebrate as we see various shots of wrestlers around the ring all fallen from the carnage. We go back to Keller.
Keller: Next is Ace and Gary, "The Happy Go Luckies"!
The camera cuts to highlights of Ace and Gary. We see a shot of them dancing along to "Give a Little More" by Maroon 5.
Chico: Former Tag Team Champions the Happy Go Luckies certainly one of the most charismatic teams in the Xtreme Wrestling Federation!
Ace: We're gonna take it to the Bombers like there's no tomorrow and show everyone why we are the best thing going today.
Gary: And on top of that?
Ace: I love being on top.
Gary: On top of all that Keller we get to show our sexy Detroit FWB a thing or two about how we get the job done.
Ace: Jager Bombers are going to fall and there's nothing they can do about it because we are the happy..
Gary: Go..
Ace & Gary: Luckies!
The camera cuts back over to Keller. Keller: Next on the list for "Tag Team of the Year"...Mark Adkins and The Original, "The Syndicate"!
The audience gives a huge boo as we cut to clips of Adkins and Original.
Manic: Chico it's safe to say that Syndicate is one of the biggest teams to come along in the last seven years.
Chico: Oh they've been dominant Manic!
Flashback flip of Original hitting Dark Stranger with a Codebreaker at "Hell on Earth". We go to a clip from Showdown 37. Adkins drops Blaze Rodriguez with a Hangman's End on Five.
Original: I'm coming.. We're coming. WE ARE HERE. And we're coming for all of you! If it's not Syndicated.. It's on Public Access.
We go back to Keller before the camera shows quick shots of Mark Adkins and The Original sitting on opposite sides of the arena.
Keller: And the last team nomination. Jive and Swag, "The Hollywood Poets"!
The camera fades as we go to clips of the Poets.
Jive: We're not waiting for anything. We're not going to be patient like a country waiting for truth in congress. Nah we're not cutting the line up we're taking that line out like a wreckin ball.
Slam Master: And not the kind that that bath salt eatin jackass Miley Cyrus uses!
Swag: I'd hit that.
Jive: Damn right.
Flashback to King of Xtreme 2013. Jive and Swag hit Poetic Justice on Gary as the crowd pops. Swag hooks the leg for the one, two, three! "Going the Distance" plays over the arena as the referee hands the Poets the Tag Team Titles.
Chico: The Hollywood Poets have finally cemented themselves as the best team in the business, no doubt about it, Manic. They deserve it.
We go back to Keller who is opening up the envelope.
Keller: And then winner for "Tag Team of the Year" goes to.. The Original and Mark Adkins, "The Syndicate"!
"Nobody Hears" by Suicidal Tendencies plays as we see a split screen shot of Adkins and Original making their way up to the stage. We go to a single screen as both men walk up from opposite ends as Keller is waiting on hand with a set of awards.
Keller: Take it easy guys..
Adkins has a big smile on his face as Original doesn't look as thrilled at this time. The music cuts out as the audience is stirring. Adkins extends his hand out towards Original and points over to the microphone.
Adkins: Come on Chris we all know you like to talk! Ha ha.
Original grabs a bottle of water out of his jacket pocket and takes a sip from it before walking up to the microphone.
Original: That's, that's pretty funny Mark. It's hilarious. You must be a goddamn comedian! Ha ha ha, go eff yourself.
Original turns his attention towards the audience while shaking his head.
Original: Poets! I see you have the tag titles. Good for you two. Keep em warm. Anyway.. I'm not here tonight to cause problems even though I'm holding myself back, due to injury right now.
Adkins sarcastically nods while rolling his eyes.
Original: Everyone knows that regardless of where I am on the roster that I made it a point to bring legitimacy. Undercard, mid, main event, tag team division. That's what the Syndicate was all about. The biggest team to come across since the days of the Blood Brothers and The Guerillas. "The Xtreme Icon" and "The Ratings King". One of the reasons why 2013 was a big year for this company. Poets? Whatever. Lets see what you guys can do with the start of the new year. Thank you.
The Original walks off as Adkins goes over towards the mic.
Adkins: The highlight of the night...The Ratings King walking away from the mic! Ha ha. All jokes aside. I would like to thank the three people responsible for this award tonight. Me, myself, and I! Thank you!
Adkins raises the award in the air as Original just shakes his head in disgust. Adkins walks off as Keller takes the podium.
Keller: We talk a lot about the matches that we witness on Pay Per View but Showdown is what keeps this company rolling. Our televised events. In case you haven't heard yet Showdown 50 will be our season finale so to speak as we move on to a new televised event. But before we do that lets take a look at some of the biggest matches that we saw in 2013. Our next category is "Showdown Match of the Year".
Bob Levy walks up and hands Keller an envelope with the winner.

Keller: And the winner for "Showdown Match of the Year" goes to.. Pike "The Preacher" Lorenzo versus "The Beast" Dustin Holt at Episode 30 from Las Vegas, Nevada!
"Dance with the Devil" by Breaking Benjamin plays as Pike Lorenzo and Dustin Holt make their way up to the podium. Keller hands Lorenzo one award before handing Holt the other award. Both men exchange quick looks before Lorenzo takes a step back. Holt takes the podium first as the music cuts out.
Holt: Think it's irony that between the two matches that we were nominated for that the one I lost in would be the one that won this award. That's how it goes. Just in case you haven't heard yet, King of Xtreme marked what is probably going to be my last match. Not quite sure yet. You know, things can change if the money is right. Right?
Holt shakes his head.
Holt: I've had some classic matches cause that's what "The Beast" is all about. But if I had to pick out who was my favorite opponent..
Holt turns his head over towards Lorenzo.
Holt: You're looking at him right now. I'd like to thank my family and all my fans. I'd say each one one by one but we'd probably be here for a while but you know who you are. Thank you.
Holt raises his award in the air before walking off as Lorenzo takes the podium.
Lorenzo: Now if I had to tell anybody who I thank for being up here right now well.. Apparently tonight is the first night that you've ever heard "The Preacher" speak. I would like to thank the Lord above for he is the reason why this was possible tonight. Some say that the so called big shots that run this company have done everything to hold me down but that's no worry to me. Soon enough they won't have much of a choice but to bow down to what is coming to them. Because I am the savior to the masses, the backbone of this company. Cause that's what I am, and that's who I care about.
Lorenzo picks up the award and walks off as Keller goes back to the podium for the next award.

- Promo of the Year -
Keller: Now as everyone knows when it comes to EFED wrestling there's much emphasis placed with on screen presense. The individuals in this category bought something to the table that was a step above everyone else in 2013. Some serious, some funny, but always memorable. Anyway enough of all that.
Levy walks up and hands Keller an envelope with the winner.
Keller: Here are the nominations..
The screen cuts to a video graphic displaying "Nominations for Promo of the Year". The first superstar displayed is Shangri-La Jester as the audience pops.
Keller: Shangri-La Jester in "The Color Purple"!
The video cuts to a shot of Bob Levy. Levy is acting surprised at how pleasant Jester seems to be acting.
Levy: So I take it you have seen the latest Carlos Shotgun promo?
Jester: Absolutely. Him playing with his little alien friends and Tom Hanks. Those guys are all retarded. But hey what can you do. He is still having fun in his fantasy land while others of us are down here on planet earth doing something real. And messing with people in a very real way.
The clip cuts to Jester speaking straight into the camera.
Jester: The only reason this would be the biggest night in my career is if you actually realized that you were unworthy and just handed that title over to me. And your right. This is just another night in the office. I show up I get to work and I get my job done. This will be no different. I will get the job done. I will walk out as the NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!
The scene fades as we go to the next nomination.
Keller: Chris Benoit in "Chicago Bound"!
